Saif Ali Khan, with his wit and wisdom, has been making some very pertinent observations about the star kid lot. In a recent interview, he spoke out about his dashing older son, Ibrahim Ali Khan and his dreams of becoming a popular celebrity. Not surprisingly, the very good-looking Ibrahim is nurturing dreams of being a Bollywood superstar. And, needless to add, Saif has his own funny take on it…
“Ibrahim, Aarav (Akshay Kumar’s son) and that group of youngsters want six packs and aspire to be Bollywood stars. I don’t know if anyone wants to be an actor. It is kind of disturbing because not everyone makes it,” he pointed out.
Saif didn’t spare himself as he added that initially he too just wanted to be a "star". “But then what the heck? Talking of being a star, my wife points out that till a few years ago, even I didn't want to be an actor, I wanted to be a star (laughs).”

Previously too, Saif has ribbed Ibrahim about believing he was already an actor because he did Tashan. “Ibrahim (already) thinks he is an actor before Sara because he did Tashan (2008). And he was upset when it didn't work (laughs). But he is a good looking guy. All our friends' children in our peer group want to be actors because they see it as an attractive profession with respect, money, affluence and a certain amount of privilege. But how many of them are interested in acting, I don't know. Sara has a degree from the London School Of Economics and still wants to be an actor over a banker so obviously, there is something very attractive about his lifestyle,” he maintained.
Fact is, this daddy has been advising his son on proper conduct, which is why we see a lot less of Ibrahim on social media than we would have liked to. Saif had reacted rather strongly, asking his son to exercise caution while using social media tools for posting pictures and videos.
Clearly, if anyone can show Ibrahim the difference between what it means to be an actor vis a vis a star, it would his dad, who has already been there, done that, and can tell it like it is!
