Mangni in Maldives? Ranveer might just pop the question to Deepika!

Whenever Deepika Padukone and beau Ranveer Singh are on an extended break with family, out pop the rumours about a possible engagement! It is no different this time as well, as this beautiful couple holidays in the Maldives. However, this might not be just a regular vacation…

For starters, they went to considerable effort to depart on this New Year holiday separately. While Deepika headed to this gorgeous group of islands in the Indian Ocean from Paris, Ranveer apparently accompanied Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani, who were headed to Sri Lanka, before making his way to Maldives.

What’s more, the stars’ parents were also spotted at the airport, evidently waiting to join up with their famous children on vacay. Ranveer’s father has since returned to the bay, but how long does it take to hop back onto a flight anyway… especially if there’s a happy engagement on the cards?!

There is a strong buzz that the couple will make their relationship official tomorrow, January 5 – it is a special day anyway, being Deepika’s birthday. The air of celebration is already upon them, as they swim, snorkel and spend time with each other.

This romantic holiday offers them a much-needed break from the stressful controversies that have hounded their upcoming Sanjay Leela Bhansali period film, Padmavati. The tension of the past months has taken its toll on both of them and it is understandable that they would want to begin 2k18 on a note of love and hope. And what better place to make that pledge to each other than amongst the aquamarine lagoons and powder-soft beaches of Maldives!

The Virushka secret destination wedding could also be giving this couple inspiration, we suspect. No paparazzi, no intrusive fans and just their closest family as they mark one of the most special moments of their life…

In November last year, Deepika had opened up like never before about her beau. “When we're with each other, we don't need anything or anyone else. We're comfortable in each other's presence,” she had revealed.

She had also addressed questions about their wedding, saying, “I can't put a year to it. Honestly, I've never been able to do anything that is time bound. I believe relationships have their way of unfolding. As far as my equation with him is concerned, I am sure that will unfold in its own manner. I can't wait to be a homemaker. Because from the time I was a little girl, I've always wanted to be that. I've always wanted to start a family.”
