Veteran actress Dimple Kapadia’s nephew and producer-entrepreneur Twinkle Khanna’s cousin Karan Kapadia is set to make his Bollywood debut with Tony D’Souza and Vishal Rana’s upcoming yet-untitled film. Karan is late actress Simple Kapadia's son. The shooting of Karan’s debut film directed by Behzad Khambata flagged off in Mumbai yesterday. The mahurat shot took place in attendance of the cast and crew of the film, including Karan’s aunt Dimple who gave the clap for his very first shot.

Dimple and nephew Karan were seen having a long chat with the director Behzad as they both gear up for their debut projects.

What more, actor Sunny Deol will also feature in the film.Confirming the news Tony, who the film's joint producer says that when Behzad finished the script, he felt Sunny was apt for a particular role. "It's very different from his current lot of films, including Poster Boys and Yamla Pagla Deewana 3 and takes him back to the action genre. He is in the forces and will start shooting by the end of this month." Tony further added, "Behzad is a huge fan of Mr. Deol and has grown up watching his films. The first time we went to meet him, he was so nervous to meet the actor who he has worshipped all his life that he was almost speechless. He told me later that all through the meeting the dialogues of Ghayal kept playing in his head."

Karan has already taken the required training for the film. He has learned to ride a horse and bike and has been swimming too. He has even got martial arts training for six months in Bangkok.

For the uninitiated, Karan’s brother-in-law and actor Akshay Kumar shares a close association with Tony. They have worked together on two films — Blue and Boss. Reportedly, both Twinkle and Akshay will have a cameo in Karan’s first film.
