Oh no, Deepika wants to change ‘outrageous’ Ranveer!

“I just wear whatever I feel like,” once said Ranveer Singh. But no more, sonny boy! Time has come when we will probably never see him in a hot pink suit with ruffled shirt, printed pop-art jacket and pants, skirts or shiny shirts anymore. If you, like we, have noticed the uber outrageous Ranveer tone down his fashion choices by several notches, well, looks like we have Deepika to blame/ thank, depending which side of the fashion fence you are on.
During a recent talk show, the truth slipped out when the gorgeous and immaculately groomed Dippy showed that she was not exactly a fan of her beau’s over-the-top style statements.

During the recording of her segment for Vogue BFFs with sister Aniska Padukone, she played a section called Scary Spice or Platter of Punishment. She had to complete sentences tossed to her by host Neha Dhupia. One question went – ‘Ranveer, stop doing…’ Deepika apparently didn’t need to think a moment before answering, “…Stop doing outrageous clothes!”

In our book, there is no greater sign of a couple that has ‘settled down’, than a lady picking out her man’s wardrobe! We are keeping our fingers crossed, however, hoping she doesn’t subdue his wild fashion sense completely. That would be a huge loss!

Reams have been devoted to Ranveer’s wacky style fundas. Fashion writers have gushed over how he fully commits to the look he is wearing, how he is like a kid playing dress-up, and how he manages to look super comfortable in whatever he is wearing. His personal stylist, Nitasha Gaurav, too has pointed out how Ranveer will often be the first to attempt a look that will then become a trend – for example, the skirts they did for the Bajirao-Mastani promotions, the purple suit for Durex, and the head to toe prints. “You need to be happy with yourself,” maintained Nitasha, “and that's all that really matters.” Erm… not exactly, right, Deepika?
