During his promotional tour, actor Sidharth Malhotra attended Bigg Boss 11 with co-star Manoj Bajpayee, hosted by Salman Khan. During a segment, Sidharth recites Bhojpuri lines after Manoj. However it was his comment on the language that angered fans and especially Neetu Chandra who took to Twitter to address his insulting remarks.
Neetu, who is best remembered for her character in Sekhar Kammula's ‘Godavari’ also shared a clip where Sidharth says that speaking in Bhojpuri gave him "latrine" like feels.

The actress, who hails from Patna in Bihar tweeted, "So disappointed @S1dharthM some1who is so fortunate 2 work wd d best. Who despite being an outsider has made a name 4 himself,4 U 2 use ur words so loosely.2 disrespect #Bhojpuri on national TV. SHOCKED! How on earth does speaking in #Bhojpuri gives u a latrine feeling.Shame on U"

“Premchand and Kabir Das first wrote in Bhojpuri and then translated to Hindi. I am from Bihar and cannot refrain from keeping quiet. Most of the bureaucrats are Bihari and we are proud of it,” she added.
After the public outburst looks like Sidharth realized his mistake. The Student of the Year actor publically apologized for disrespecting the language.
He wrote, “I recently tried speaking a new language while I was on a TV show. In the process, if I inadvertently hurt anyone's feelings or sentiments, I apologise and assure you that no disrespect was meant in any way.”

Meanwhile, Sidharth’s Aiyaary that was slated to release on January 26th was shifted to February 9 to avoid the massive box office clash between the period drama Padmaavat and Akshay Kumar’s PadMan. Now with Akshay Kumar shifting the release date to February 9, PadMan will be competing with Aiyaary at the box office.
