Arshi Khan’s announcement on social media that she would be doing a film with the Baahubali megastar, Prabhas, has not brought in the congratulatory reactions one would have expected. Her news has largely been mocked by the Twitterati. The actress, who claimed she had been signed on “for a big film in the main lead starring megastar Prabhas,” thanked everyone from Salman Khan and Colors TV, to Endemol Shine, Bigg Boss, Raj Nayak and Abhishek Rege, with “special thanks” going out to Nevada Putman. Putman had hit the headlines in 2015, when Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis tweeted a picture of him receiving a cheque for a project to prevent drought, from Nevada Putman, who allegedly has 14 criminal cases against him.

Back to Arshi, apparently some people cannot digest her big news and have been venting their disbelief. If one user rudely wisecracked, “Horror movie hogi, Arshi as chudail,” another wondered, “1 min ka role hai ye 30 sec ka beti.”
Arshi is ignoring all the jokes and jibes. She has had enough experience dealing with controversy. Last year, her manager and publicist Flynn Remedios had had to come out and rubbish the many allegations against Arshi Khan. “It is very sad that media is publishing stories and articles about Arshi Khan without verifying anything…Just because she happens to be a controversial ‘Bigg Boss’ contestant and is playing a game inside the ‘Bigg Boss’ house, does not mean the media outside has a free license to publish what they want to, when it comes to a lady’s marital status or private life…
“All that is being said and written and published about Arshi Khan is totally false. Firstly, Arshi Khan has never been married. She may have had a couple of boyfriends in the last 5 years, but then every young girl has a right to fall in love,” Remedios declared.
Regarding news of her alleged bookie husband, Remedios said, “Arshi had filed a complaint against a bookie from Pakistan in 2015 for threatening her, but he was definitely not her husband. I challenge the persons claiming so to prove their allegations.”
Wonder if poor Prabhas knows what is going to hit him soon!
