Ranveer will frame this note from Amitabh too, we’re guessing!

It’s only the first month of the year but the awards have started coming in already for Ranveer Singh! The star, whose portrayal of conqueror Alauddin Khilji is winning him rave reviews, has shared his ‘trophy’ which he is absolutely thrilled about - a bouquet of beautiful flowers along with a personal handwritten note from superstar Amitabh Bachchan. Ranveer tweeted the same writing, “Mujhe mera award mil gaya.”

Bachchan’s hand-written notes are a well-known tradition in Bollywood. Whenever a performance moves him, Amitabh is known to respond by appreciating and complimenting an actor’s work via a special personal note which he pens himself, and despatches along with gorgeous blooms.

While we don’t know what exactly Bachchan did write within the note, it has got to be highly praiseworthy for Ranveer, who is on top of the world!

The Padmaavat anti-hero has never made a secret of his adoration of Mr. Bachchan. At the NDTV Indian of the Year Awards, he had proudly admitted that he was hugely inspired by Bachchan. “I am a Hindi film fan first, then an actor. And if you are a Hindi film fan, you are an Amitabh Bachchan fan,” he drove his point home.
In fact, on Big B's 75th birthday, Ranveer Singh had even come out to declare October 11 as 'Amitabh Bachchan Day!

Incidentally, this is not Ranveer’s first special note from Bachchan – he had received his first one after his performance in Bajirao Mastani. At that time Ranveer had revealed in an interview that he was over the moon to receive a handwritten note from Mr. Bachchan. “I received my first award for Bajirao Mastani. A handwritten note from Mr Bachchan. It has become a barometer for performances. Whenever I get a note from Mr Bachchan, I get it framed and keep it in my bank locker.”

So now we know where his second note from the Bachchan will land up as well!
