The actress has got two ‘weddings’ in 2018 but only one date is confirmed!

News continues to fly fast and furious about Sonam Kapoor’s imminent wedding this year to beau of many seasons, businessman Anand Ahuja. The fashionista and actress, however, continues to maintain that the only wedding on the cards for her in 2018 is kid sister Rhea Kapoor’s chick-flick Veere Di Wedding that’s slated for release on June 1. However, PeepingMoon.com sources, that broke the news about the Sonam-Anand wedding on December 11, 2017, say that the shaadi in the romantic comedy is not the only one for Sonam – the actress will most certainly tie the knot this year.

PeepingMoon.com reported that the Sonam-Anand wedding was likely to happen in Udaipur in March. Other sources said, no, it would happen in London and in June after Veere Di Wedding’s release. Also, the couple wanted to do it in privacy like Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli did in Tuscany in December. In the midst of which Sonam, who was busy with her mega release PadMan for Akshay Kumar this February, said in exasperation, “Where do I have time for it?” But the buzz refused to die down. And now, according to the Bollywood press, the actress appears to be counting down to D-day.

Sonam, say reports, has not yet decided the date and venue of the wedding, but she knows who will design her trousseau. Couturiers and family friends Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla are said to be designing the wedding lehenga. They have dressed Sonam up before so many times that the fashion mavens can probably do her up for her wedding in their sleep. Still, they are styling Veere Di Wedding and should know from their constant interactions with the actress on the sets what she’s set her mind on for the real wedding.

But Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla aren’t the only ones. Sonam’s friends include the elite couturiers and designers of London and Paris who are her regular go-to guys for the Cannes Film Festival and other red carpet events. Even for her regular appearances, the diva choses to wear and endorse brands which are relatively unheard of but no later become the rage. Just because Sonam wore them! So it’s likely that her personal favourites Ralph & Russo, a British couture house founded by Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo, will pitch in with one of their stunning dresses for the Cocktail Night. She’s been a faithful show stopper for them three years in a row at Cannes.

Them apart, there’s also likely to be Anamika Khanna and Manish Malhotra on Sonam’s wedding style list and the final look will be undoubtedly be put together by her super talented stylist sis, Rhea. Apart from the jewellery brand she endorses (Kalyani Jewellers), Sonam was recently spotted shopping at Raj Mahtani’s high-end jewellery store in Kolkata. Mahtani is the jeweller to India’s biggest business families, from the Mittals and Ambanis to the Goenkas, Birlas and Bhartias!
