Deepika Padukone is a very opinionated actress. She has often voiced her personal thoughts be it a subject of grave matter or even just about her relationship with beau Ranveer Singh. During a recent interview, Deepika came in guns blazing with quick responses and spoke up about the recent magnum opus and its success, working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and many other things...
How it's like working with Bhansali for the third time:
I believe I share a very spiritual relationship with him because we don't talk much, we don't communicate much but whatever we feel we do through the eyes. And we didn't communicate much during Ram Leela but we communicate even lesser now.

We look at each other and we know exactly what the other person is thinking or feeling. And to me, I think it also says a lot about the faith that he has in me as an actor. The fact that before every scene, he does not have to discuss graph, he does not have to discuss what this actor is going to do with this particular character. What is she going to do ... there's no discussion. He gives me that freedom. He has enabled me as an actor in so many ways and I think it just means that there's immense amount of faith and trust.
Her feelings on seeing Padmaavat's success:
It's very different this time. I 've had film releases before. I've had successful performances, successful films, performances people have appreciated... this time it's a completely different energy. Of course, people are appreciating the film and the performance and all of that but there is a sense of blessing. There is a very spiritual experience I'm feeling this time.
Best compliment for her performance:
First screening we had was for Shabana ji and Javed saab. Javed saab looked me in the eye and said, "When I think of Madhubala ji or when I think of Nargis Dutt ji I think of at least one iconic thing they've done in their entire careers. I think of Mughal-E-Azam & Mother India." He believes that Padmavati is my Mother India moment.
Plans for celebrating Padmaavat's success:
I think that will come to me organically. I have never been one to plan such things.
