Apropos the exciting new Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor coupling that the Bollywood media is currently abuzz about (PeepingMoon.com broke the story on January 16), people are wondering whether the young actress and Katrina Kaif will continue to be BFFs (Best Friends Forever) once this jodi is confirmed to be Bollywood’s next big thing.
Alia and Ranbir went to Israel in December with director Ayan Mukerji to prep for Dharma Productions’ Brahmastra. And that’s where and when it happened. The vibe that existed between them escalated and the young actors returned and slowly appear to have moved into a relationship. Maybe they were meant to happen to each other and took their time getting there.

Alia, while promoting her debut film Student of The Year in 2012 had said, “I have always loved Ranbir. He is my biggest crush and will always remain my biggest crush.” But when Ranbir split with Katrina in January 2016, Alia was really not to be blamed for Bollywood’s most sensational breakup. The fact that Katrina and she went on to become gym buddies (they work out with Yasmin Karachiwala) shows there was never any unease over Ranbir between them.
The two actresses (before Alia went on this Israel trip with Ranbir) shot for Neha Dhupia’s chat show Vogue BFF in which they reportedly share intimate moments. The show is going to be aired on Saturday, 8 pm, on Colors and the actresses who had by then taken their friendship a notch higher have reportedly been filmed giving each other advice on matters of the heart!
Alia’s advice to “Katy” reportedly is to give up the gym and focus on men instead. And “Katy” responds that she will, but she’s waiting for Alia to get married first. Which might have all been good fun and girlie banter early on in December. But now the equation appears to have shifted with Ranbir back in the picture again. And Bollywood insiders say that there is no such thing as “forever” in love and among “best friends”.
