Huma Qureshi is making her debut in Tamil cinema with the gangster drama, Kaala, and she has been justifiably thrilled about it. Understandable, as the film stars the inimitable Rajinkanth! Set in the 1980s, Kaala is the story of a man who leaves Tirunelveli to come to Mumbai, and goes on to become the Don of Dharavi. Besides Huma, the cast includes Anjali Patil, Pankaj Tripathi and Samuthirakani, with Nana Patekar in the role of the antagonist.
However, a recent development has left Huma seething… A 15-second scene from the film has been leaked online. The scene features the Tamil superstar engaged in combat with a goon, and is stolen from the climax of the film itself.

This is a worrying situation, but executive producer Vinod Kumar prefers to play down the incident. He claims it is just a few seconds of footage and not even the climax scene. He assures that the leak will not affect the film in anyway.
The team has already plunged into damage control. A complaint has been filed with the cyber cell. The link has also been blocked from leaking on YouTube and other websites.
However, leading lady Huma Qureshi is furious about the leak. “It’s so unfair, given the hard work everyone put into a film. Piracy is toxic and I hope the necessary action is taken,” she declares.
Kaala is a very special film for Huma. Last year she had spoken about the experience saying, “I am very fortunate and blessed that I am working with him (Rajinikanth). The film is releasing next year and this is our final schedule so all of us are trying to do our best job. I am still getting used to it (working with Rajinikanth)… Kaala is a very beautiful script. When I heard the script, I was like, I have to be part of this film and of course, working with Rajinikanth sir is a dream come true. In life, you get very few opportunities that you should grab with both your hands.”
