Even as the second in the Baaghi franchise will release in March, Baaghi 3 has already been announced. Again, it will star Tiger Shroff, who pairs up with Disha Patani in Baaghi 2. Baaghi 3 will be helmed by choreographer-turned-director Ahmed Khan, who has also directed the upcoming Baaghi 2. Other details regarding the film are awaited.
Director of the original Malayalam hit, Drishyam Jeethu Joseph will make his Hindi film debut. The yet-untitled film will be shot in a single schedule between May and July this year. The film claims to change the face of the horror thriller genre in the country, combining interesting dynamics of a crime mystery thriller with elements of horror. The casting is already grabbing interest – it pairs the multi-talented Rishi Kapoor and the still under-rated Emraan Hashmi.

“Directing a Hindi feature film has been on the anvil for some time,” informs Jeethu Joseph, “and I have been waiting for the right story. This crime mystery thriller with elements of horror has excited me tremendously and we have got perfect casting for the two protagonists in the film. I am looking forward to starting the film at the earliest.”
Emraan Hashmi is “really excited” too, adding, “The film will be a riveting, nail-biting treat for fans of the genre and with Jeethu at the helm of things, I'm confident the film will be a game changer.”
Hindi Medium, which won the Filmfare Best Film award, returns for round two with an unexpected new director - Homi Adajania. The film, which will be produced under Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films banner, will see the film flash-forwarding by a decade.
Dinesh Vijan and Homi Adajania have previously worked together on films like Being Cyrus and Cocktail.
Dinesh informed that Homi doesn’t make films very often as he refuses to do stuff that doesn’t bowl him over, but when he narrated this one to him, he loved it. “And when I saw his reaction, it was a no-brainer. I guess from Maddock’s stable of directors, Homi was the most unlikely choice for Hindi Medium 2. That’s exactly why I have signed him on,” he added.
Homi adds that he found the narrative “so engaging and hilarious that I told him I’d be happy to direct it if he had no director attached to the project. It’s been a while since I’ve found any material so amusing yet emotional.” The film will see Irrfan reprising his role as Raj, for which he won the Best Actor award, while the role of Pia is yet to be cast.
