Blackmail or rather Blackमेल is a film that promises all sorts of laughter throughout. Irrfan is back again with yet another quirky comedy in this film which is directed by Abhinay Deo, who has given us the epic Delhi Belly previously.
In the teaser, we saw a naked Irrfan running past the gali(by-lanes) as people around stare with a bunch of men chasing him. Wearing a paper bag on his head, Irrfan ran and clarifies that he wasn't a a thief or anything of that sorts. Instead, he has been a part of a ‘historic Kaand’. The teaser left us curious to know what this kaand was all about!

Today, the trailer of the film released which begins with Irrfan picking up from where the teaser left us. In the trailer, he is in a bar with probably a stranger explaining his situation. Irrfan as 'Dev' finds out about his wife's infidelity on the night of his wedding anniversary. While the options were to kill his wife or the other man, he chooses to rather blackmail him. Of course, his wife a.k.a Kriti Kulhari is there to help out her boyfriend, Arunoday Singh. And here comes the twist, Dev gets into the situation where he has to 'pay his own blackmail.' But the madness doesn't end there. Dev- the blackmailer -now gets blackmailed by another blackmailer!
Kahaani Mein Twist...
In this constant chase of blackmailing, the story takes a dark turn with gun, goons and an accidental murders. But then, who is the real blackmailer?
Towards the end, the stranger in the bar says to Irrfan that he seems to be the serial killer, but is he? Or is he not? To solve the mystery, one has to watch the film, certainly. Along with a few quirky laughs.
The film is produced by T-Series and RDP Motion Pictures. Along with Irrfan, it also features Kriti Kulhari, Divya Dutta, Arunoday Singh, Omi Vaidya, Anuja Sathe, Pradhuman Singh Mall and Gajraj Rao. It is slated to release on April 6th, 2018.
