While she has always made it clear that she will never quit acting, she has been on a long break post-Taimur’s first birthday on December 20, last year. It had been revealed that Bebo wanted to take a short break after completing Veere Di Wedding. In spite of getting many offers, she had informed all the filmmakers who had approached her that she would only start listening to narration from December onwards.

Naturally, there has been curiosity about which film she would sign post Veere Di Wedding. And now there appears to be a definite lead. Buzz goes that the actress has been in talks with Ashutosh Gowariker for his next, the Hindi remake of Aapla Manus, a Marathi language film. Apparently, Kareena and Ashutosh have already had three meetings till now and the filmmaker is extremely keen on having her on board.

Word has it that once the script is completed and the co-stars finalized, Kareena will soon greenlight the film. The film, which released on February 9 this year, is inspired by Paresh Rawal's play Dear Father. It is said to be an emotional roller coaster ride, sprinkled with just the right amount of humour. It stars Nana Patekar, Iravati Harshe and Sumeet Raghavan in the lead roles and is Ajay Devgn's first Marathi film as a producer.

The story follows the lives of a young couple living in an urban area, with the man’s father. The film sees them trying to understand the complexities of the relationship even as they try to cope with urban life. An unexpected incident that occurs, changes their beliefs and way of living.
