The untimely death of the legendary actress Sridevi has gripped the entire industry. Celebrities in all walks of life have offered their condolence to the family.
Politician Amar Singh who is close to the family in an interview with a leading daily revealed that Boney Kapoor had returned from Dubai to attend the UP Investors Summit. He also believed that the untimely demise of the actress could be avoided had Boney not left his wife behind.
He said, "Had we been there, maybe this incident could have been prevented. For the summit, even Boney ji reached Lucknow. And I believe he made a mistake that he left a family(home) event and left Sree ji (Sridevi) to come attend the summit."

"Maybe if we all had not gone to the summit and stayed there, and been attentive... not doing so was a mistake. I'm not blaming anyone,’’ he added.
He further said, "I have talked to Abu Dhabi's Sheikh Al Nahyan, he assured me that all formalities and reports are complete. Her mortal remains should reach India by midnight.’’
Sridevi flew to Dubai along with husband Boney Kapoor and daughter Khushi to attend Mohit Marwah and Antara Motiwala's wedding. Reportedly, the actress stayed back in Dubai while Boney and Khushi returned to the city.
The Bollywood legend passed away on February 24, 2018, in Dubai in her hotel bathtub.

The mortal remains of the actress will reach the country tomorrow. Since the Dubai courts are shut now, the proceedings will happen tomorrow in the morning, followed by the embalming of the body which will take place in Sonapur, Dubai. The other procedures including, immigration will be completed in the next 3 to 4 hours.
Once brought to Mumbai, Sridevi Ji’s body will be taken to the Celebrations Ground in Lokhandwala for friends and her legion of fans to pay their last respects. From there, it would be moved to the Pawan Hans crematorium.
