Rajkummar finds marriage questions tough to answer!

The very gifted Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa have been going strong since more than six years now – that’s longer than some marriages last in this fickle world! However, marriage continues to be far from their minds as of now…

The couple had starred in the 2014 movie CityLights and even did a web series together. Even as many continue to wonder when they will tie the knot, the couple is clearly in no rush to get hitched. Speaking of their marriage plans, Rajkummar revealed, “It will happen eventually, but we haven’t fixed a date. We are not getting married anytime soon. Right now, we are focusing on our careers.”

He is not a huge fan of the institution of marriage - that much is apparent. Asked if he believes in marriage, he stated, “That is a tough one to answer. More than marriage, I think a relationship is about two people being genuinely happy and comfortable with each other. It’s a great institution, and I am sure it works for many people. Patralekhaa and I have been together for more than six years now, and we are very happy with each other. Even if we get married, we will be happy. I know so many people who are not married, but they are living together and they are happy. So, it’s not like both of us don’t think about marriage, but we don’t stress about it.”

He adds, “I know that eventually, it will happen as our families would want us to get married, though they have never pressurized us.”

Last year, the actor had also addressed questions about his marriage plans saying, “Not right now. Both of us want to focus on our respective careers, and we're not thinking about it. Marriage will happen for sure - but I don't know when.”

Back in 2014 also he had stated, “I respect the institution. But it's not for me. We are happy to be together.”
