In a new twist to the on-going Sridevi death investigation, it is learned that Arjun Kapoor left for Dubai this morning to join his father Boney Kapoor at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers where the actress was found dead on Saturday night. Indications are that Arjun will return with the mortal remains of Sridevi and oversee the last rites in Mumbai if the Dubai Police intend to detain Boney indefinitely for questioning in the investigation. The Dubai Police is believed to have given permission for the body to be taken to Mumbai but as yet nobody knows whether Boney will be allowed to accompany it. That is why Arjun, assuming responsibility as the man of the house, has stepped into the picture.

Bollywood sources say this gesture by the young actor has won him a huge number of brownie points because Arjun was not part of the Boney-Sridevi family and claimed no relationship with their daughter Jhanvi and Khushi. In fact, he is always believed to have carried a grudge against Sridevi for taking his father away from his mother Mona Kapoor 11 years ago. Mona passed away from cancer in 2012, just before Arjun made his Bollywood debut with Ishqzaade.
