Actors don’t throw tantrums, defends Parineeti

Parineeti Chopra has been coming out strongly in defence of her fraternity. Speaking about what it means to be an actor, she says, “The biggest myth people have about actors is that they throw tantrums. People think actors are difficult (to handle) and have an attitude problem. Actually, that is not the case. Actors are humble pies. They have to put themselves out there and the public scrutinizes them. We have to be that much careful about everything we do. Our lives are demanding and not the same as a commoner’s life. For instance, if you do something at a party and come up to me, and ask me to do that same thing on stage; I can’t do it because there are lakhs of people watching me. But when I refuse, people say I have an attitude problem.”

Ploughing on like the unofficial spokesperson for the cause of misunderstood stars, she declared that actors are judged harshly as compared to common people. “People assume things about every actor. When I say no to something, it’s misunderstood as me being difficult. But I am putting myself out there every day, for everything. And I wish that there was a way to make people understand, but unfortunately till you don’t act in films, you will not understand that,” Parineeti said.
