Amitabh Bachchan shared some lovely pictures of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aaradhya Bachchan, Shweta Nanda and Jaya Bachchan on his Twitter account.
The colorful festival of Holi, which is usually celebrated with pomp and show in Bollywood, is subtle in B-town this year. This is owing to the tragic death of its queen Sridevi, who passed away in Dubai recently.
Many stars including Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar declared that their Holi celebrations stand cancelled as a mark of respect to the late Sridevi. Amitabh Bachchan also had a quiet Holika with his near and dear ones.
The Bollywood legend shared pictures of the family clicked during the burning of Holika today. Seen in the pictures are Jaya Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan. The Bachchan ladies are clicked praying and applying the colorful Tilak. Big B wrote, "T 2730 - the Holika has been burnt and the prayers done .. the 'tilak' colours put .. and the special sweetmeat for the occasion 'gujiya' consumed .."
While Aishwarya is seen donning a sweet and simple purple kurta, cute Aaradhya is clicked wearing a pretty, pink dress. Shweta on the other hand is dressed more casually in slacks.
On the work front, senior Bachchan will be next seen in 102 Not Out. It is directed by Umesh Shukla and stars Rishi Kapoor along with Big B. The film is based on the running eponymous Gujarati play written by Saumya Joshi. The film is slated for release on 4 May. Aishwarya on the other hand is rumoured to be in line for the film Jasmine, which is based on surrogacy. Earlier, there were reports that Parineeti Chopra may land this one on her kitty. However, the producers rubbished these rumours.
The Bachchans were recently clicked at late Sridevi's last rites ceremony. They were seen offering condolences to the Kapoor family.
