Is this the real reason behind Priyanka Chopra's absence at the Oscars?

The 90th Oscar Award ceremony was all things grand and glamorous. We saw the big names of Hollywood walk the red carpet in style, in their designer wears. The award winners and the nominees sure looked super happy to be there.

While we Bollywood fans enjoyed the show thoroughly, we missed our international star, who has become a constant at international events these days. That's right, the lovely Priyanka Chopra, who has made a mark in the international circuits with her stint in the ABC TV series Quantico, was very surprisingly, missing from the most prestigious award show.

Priyanka subtly passed across her message saying, "I wish all my friends nominated tonight the very best! So sick but wishing everyone from bed! Can't wait to know the winners!"

Well, while this could be true, we also wonder if Priyanka's absence has anything to do with the Razzie Award bestowed on team Baywatch! The movie earned a Razzie for the category "So Rotten You Loved It." Well, not exactly a glowing compliment, is it? Dwayne Johnson however, took to his social media account to accept the award humbly.

He said, "Look, we made Baywatch with the best of intentions. It didn't work out like that. But I humbly and graciously accept my Razzie and I thank you critics, thank you fans. Look, at the end of the day, movie so rotten you eventually fell in love with it, that's just the way love goes"

Well, do you think Priyanka did not wish to be so sporting? or was it a sick day call after all?

Baywatch is directed by Seth Gordon and based on the television series of the same name. Written by Mark Swift and Damian Shannon, the film starred Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Jon Bass, Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach and Priyanka Chopra.
