Last year, just before Christmas we were treated to the sight of B-town gals Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra, colour coordinated in black, stepping into an upscale Thai restaurant in Bandra-Kurla Complex for dinner. The new gal pals had spent close to two hours at the fine-dining outpost, chatting through their meal.
There had been buzz that the two could be in talks for a film with Ritesh Sidhwani, who had joined them for dinner with his wife Dolly.
While nothing came of that meeting, there could still be a collaboration on the cards for PeeCee and Aloo, after all.

Apparently Priyanka is keen on producing a feature film for children based on stray dogs. After turning producer with regional films, this would be her first Bollywood project. However, she has supposedly being finding it difficult to find a female lead for the film, as the role comes with just five to six scenes. Things haven’t worked out with the A-list actresses who have already been approached. The problem is apparently the lack of screen time.
Priyanka herself explained it saying, “In Hollywood, you have films where you have incredible actors who come together just to do four or six scenes. That’s the thing I miss in India. I was casting for this kid’s film and I wanted a big-time female actor to come and do six scenes. It’s a small issue-based film about kids and stray dogs. My mother shot me down saying the actor’s entourage will cost more than the film. So, I will probably end up doing it myself someday.”
Meanwhile, talk suggested that she had also approached her filmland bestie Alia for the role. The Bhatt lass, however, dismisses this assumption. “I have never been someone who has seen films in that way. It doesn’t matter what screen time I have. I don’t look at it as a parameter or the only diktat to do films,” she pointed out.

She also added, “I’ve not been offered the film. But if PC did come to me and I find it interesting, I’d love to be a part of that film. It totally depends on the right time and the right subject. I’d happily do it, if everything falls in place.”
