She’s the very gifted hair and prosthetic designer who has crafted the looks of Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor, who play men aged 102 and 75 respectively in 102 Not Out. And much as she is being lauded by one and all for her fabulous work in the film, not surprisingly Preetisheel Singh is gushing about her experience of working with these two leading men.
She shares, “I was a baby when they were shining bright and they are still ruling hearts. So yes, you got to toughen up and think beyond the aura they exude. Designing their looks was a hard task. More so, as I was aware that combined with their talent, the looks would go way beyond visual appeal.”

She adds, “At their age and stature, it takes a lot of patience to sit and allow so much makeup to happen and then go out and perform. Even after all these years in the business of entertainment, their child-like enthusiasm and devotion to their art are awe-inspiring! Their energy and intensity are infectious and exhilarating, so much so that one can compare it with the current heartthrobs.”
Frankly, we believe they actually out-do the current heartthrobs in all departments! The duo have been grabbing interest with their unique roles in 102 Not Out, which brings them together onscreen 27 years after Ajooba. This Umesh Shukla comedy sees Bachchan playing an eccentric 102-year-old man, while Kapoor plays his prim and proper son.
As for Preetisheel, full marks to her for doing exactly what she says - “I always try to make the actor don a look that he or she hasn’t had before.” Bachchan and Kapoor are proof.
