Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se is turning out to be quite the multi-starrer! For starters, there’s Salman Khan himself joining up with the Deol trio – Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby, along with Sonakshi Sinha. Now the actress' actor-politician dad Shatrughan will also feature in the film.
Apparently, Sonakshi has signed up for a cameo in the film. Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se will see her coming together onscreen with her dashing dad for the very first time.
The daddy-daughter duo will be part of the title track of the YPD franchise, which will feature as a medley. It will be choreographed by Remo D’Souza. Sona and Shatru will be part of the aptly chosen track, ‘O mere sona re…’. This song had featured in the 1966 filmTeesri Manzil and had been picturized on its lead pair, Shammi Kapoor and Asha Parekh. Sung by Mohd. Rafi and Asha Bhosle, this RD Burman composition remains a popular melody. Needless to say, the main reason for choosing the track for the Sinhas, had to have been the word ‘Sona’ – Sonakshi’s pet name.

In the past, Sonakshi and Shatru had come together to promote girl education. While the Sinha duo had been touted to feature in Akira, two years ago, things didn’t work out then. This makes Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se their very first big-screen outing together.
And the film has yet another talking point – Rekha! This timeless screen beauty will reunite with Dharmendra in the medley, as they groove to that chartbusting track, Rafta Rafta…from Kahani Kismat Ki.
Choreographer Remo had tweeted an image on Sunday with Rekha, writing, “A dream come true.” Apparently, Dharam and Rekha pulled off the moves smoothly when they filmed their portion of the medley together. Not surprising, considering they have delivered umpteen hits together in the Seventies and Eighties, including Keemat, Kahani Kismat Ki, Kasam Suhaag Ki, Kartavya, Ghazab and many more.

And now moving on to that much-loved colossus, Salman Khan… He apparently features in all three portions of the song!
This third part of the YPD franchise sees Sunny and Bobby playing brothers, while Dharam plays a lawyer who has rented a room from them. Sounds like fun!
