Samaira was born to Karisma and Sunjay on March 11, 2005. However, the couple's divorce became the talk of the town back in 2015 as their battle took ugly overtones. Both Karisma and Sunjay slung unsavoury allegations at each other as the two fought for the custody of their children, Samiera and Kiaan. Karisma accused Sunjay and his mother of harassment and for demanding dowry, while Sunjay alleged that Karisma married him only for his money. In 2016, Karisma won the custody of her children and soon after Sunjay got hitched to model Priya Sachdev.
Aunt Kareena Kapoor Khan along with baby Taimur and other members from the Kapoor khandaan attended the bash. However, the celebrations were a low key affair and paparazzo was kept at bay.
While Karisma has kept her appearance on the silver screen rare, she will be making a cameo in Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif starrer Zero directed by Aanand L Rai.
