A picture claiming to be Amitabh Bachchan's first look from the movie Thugs of Hindostan has been doing the rounds on social media and online news portals today. Well, though the picture does look like it could be Big B, here is a surprise - it is NOT.

That's right. The picture of an aged person wearing worn out spectacles and a turban is in fact a picture from photographer Steve McCurry's travel album. It features an Afghan refugee. McCurry captioned the picture as, "An Afghan refugee in Baluchistan, Pakistan, 1981, pigment print."
Now, what do you think of that?
Amitabh Bachchan has been in the news since yesterday due to his ill health. The veteran actor had shared in his blog that doctors were attending to him. He wrote, “I am getting my team of doctors in tomorrow morning to fiddle around with my body and set me up again .. I will rest and keep informed in process." However, wife Jaya Bachchan later confirmed that Big B is doing fine and the heave costumes on the sets of the movie Thugs of Hindostan were causing him back pain.
Jaya shared outside the Parliment Hose, New Delhi., “Amitji’s health is fine. He has pain in his back and neck. The costume is pretty heavy ( for Vijay Krishna Acharya’s film) and that’s why he is in pain. Otherwise, he is fine"
Today, Big B was spotted amidst tight security at Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur. He is certainly an inspiration when it comes to professionalism and ethics.
Thugs of Hindostan is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. The film is based on Philip Meadows Taylor's 1839 novel Confessions of a Thug and stars Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh. It is set to be released during Diwali on 7 November.
