Like it or not, Shuddh Desi Romance stunner, Vaani Kapoor manages to stump onlookers with her changing visage. Her features have undergone a drastic transformation since she debuted in the 2013 film, opposite Sushant Singh Rajput.

She set rumours buzzing again recently when she was spotted at an event in Delhi. Vaani looked so different, she was almost mistaken for socialite Priya Sachdev Kapur, who is married to Karisma’s ex-husband, Sanjay!

The changes have been there to see since the first teaser of Aditya Chopra's Befikre came out in 2016. She had had everyone gasping with how drastically different her face looked in the film.

Social media had gone into a tizzy over how she allegedly had a chin surgery and a lip job done to enhance overall facial features. The results, unfortunately, were less than successful. Criticism poured in, with social media users quick to dash off such comments as, “Donald duck died of shame today on seeing Vaani Kapoor's horrendous lip job,” and “One of my favourite and most promising actress Vaani Kapoor spoiled her natural looks by undergoing lip job -chin...” Yet another pointed out, “Vaani Kapoor looks like she just got a lip job for Befikre and if it’s true then it’s just sad. Another pretty one buckles under pressure.”

The rumours of her having undergone surgery got so strong, that she even addressed them during an interview shortly before the film’s release. She tried using humour to diffuse the reports of having gone under the knife, saying, “The surgeries are so expensive! I don't have so much money to pay for it, plus it hurts so much. I love my body and just can't go through such tiring process and the pain.”

She had also claimed that it was her weight-loss that had changed her body structure. “I used to be chubby. People can see how different I looked in my debut film because the character was such. In Befikre, my character is bold, sensual and sexy. I lost weight so obviously, my jaw and face look different now. My frame looks different and I am sure audiences will be able to reason the change.”

Well, it’s been years since Befikre and watchers are still trying to reason her changing features!
