A happy, gurgling baby is apparently all it takes to fill the empty spaces in your heart…Kangana Ranaut looks a picture of contentment as she cuddles her nephew Prithvi Raj. The tot, sporting a velvet cap, looks equally thrilled with the affection from his doting aunt. This private peek was shared by Kangana's sister Rangoli, who posted the image on Twitter, with the caption, “Massi and Kiddie”.
Little charmer Prithvi Raj had arrived last November, bringing joy to the Ranaut's, in the midst of controversies related to Hrithik Roshan and Kangana’s box office flops. Now there’s more reason to celebrate, as the actress’s gorgeous house in Manali is ready to welcome her and her family. The ‘griha pravesh’, an auspicious ritual, has been conducted, which was performed by Kangana and her family members. Prithvi Raj was very much in attendance too, ensconced happily in his aunt’s arms.

The Manali home, designed by Shabnam Gupta and reportedly costing a cool Rs.30 crore, is already something of a tourism draw in Himachal. The residence has been named Kartikeya Nivas, Kartikeya being the son of Lord Shiva who acquired Mahasamadhi in the Himalaya region. The sprawling new home sits close to the Kartikeya temple. Kangana has been very excited about her home in the hills, the land for which she had bought soon after the success of her film Queen. She has been visiting the place regularly to oversee the work there.
A bungalow that resembles a vintage European home, the residence has eight bedrooms, step-out balconies, a dining room, a fireplace, a gymnasium and a separate yoga room.
The plush residence apparently has elements of the traditional Kath-khuni architecture of Himachal, built using local indigenous materials like wood, stone and bricks. The interiors have been further beautified with old handloom products and local handicrafts.
The emotional attachment to her new house in her home state is considerable. “Laying the first brick of my house was an important decision. I have my own place in Mumbai, and I could have got a house anywhere in the world. But people back home call me Himachal ki beti. I am overwhelmed with the love I receive from my people,” she had shared.
Well, that bond has just got stronger.
