Irrfan opens up about his illness - 'Been diagnosed with NeuroEndocrine Tumour'

The scrutiny over Irrfan's illness has been doing the rounds for a while now. A few days back the actor posted a cryptic message about him not keeping well. Following the suit, speculations were doing the rounds that he is suffering from Cancer. But PeepingMoon.com was the first to bring it to you that the actor is not suffering from any such disease and that Irrfan will be undergoing treatment overseas.

Furthermore, his wife Stupa Sikdar called her husband a 'warrior' over the news of Irrfan's sudden health scare. She took to Facebook to share her sentiments and thanked their well-wishes for their support. Like Irrfan, she too urged people not to speculate about his condition.

Now, amidst endless speculations and rumours, Irrfan today issued an official statement about his illness admitted that he indeed is travelling abroad to receive treatment and have asked his well-wishers to keep sending him wishes and blessings for a speedy recovery. He shared the message on his Twitter handle as well:

The unexpected makes us grow, which is what the past few days have been about. Learning that I have been diagnosed with NeuroEndocrine Tumour as of now has admittedly been difficult, but the love and strength of those around me and that I found within me has brought me to a place of hope. The journey of this is taking me out of the country, and I request everyone to continue sending their wishes. As for the rumours that were floated NEURO is not always about the brain and googling is the easiest way to do research ;-) To those who waited for my words, I hope to be back with more stories to tell.
