R.I.P 'Ek Do Teen...': Jacqueline's efforts to fit into Madhuri's shoes goes haywire

After much wait, the makers of Baaghi 2 are out with the remake of classic dance number Ek do teen… from the Tiger Shroff-Disha Patani starrer. And Jacqueline Fernandez has taken upon herself to turn the summers hotter!

Stepping into the iconic shoes of Madhuri Dixit for the familiar ‘ding dong ding…’ hook step, Jacqueline has done every bit to try and imitate the similar poses to Madhuri in the 1988 film, Tezaab. But sadly, the vocals by Shreya Ghoshal and music by Sandeep Shirodkar of the 2018's version are out of sync.

Jacky has done serious efforts to match up to the magic Madhuri created, but alas, her ripped ribs turned out to look tacky than sexy. Though there is no denying that Jacky has shown us killer moves, but as the actress is already aware that she cannot match up to Mads, we can understand the pressure she must be under to recreate this number. She had earlier shared,“That was my first stress, that how can we recreate something so iconic like is it even possible? It made it lot easier for me when I understood that it is not possible. We’re not trying to match up to what Madhuri Dixit did. We are not trying to match up to what Saroj (Khan) ji did.”

The song sees Jacqueline in a sexy avatar, with the villainous Prateek Babbar's lustful antics. No denying that Jacqueline has learnt her moves, worked hard on her body and worn sexy attires but the makers should have realised this before recreating such an iconic number - its impossible to bring back the same old world charm each time.

And if you are 90s kid, you will feel the same. Madhuri, we miss our Mohini in this one.

Jacqueline, better luck next time!
