Ankita Lokhande has made it big on the small screen as the sweet and simple girl from Pavitra Rishta. However, the much adored TV actress took a break from work for two years. In an interview with a leading daily, Ankita mentioned that she was too exhausted and needed some time off.

However, she is now back with a bang and all set to take on the big screen. That's right, she will be seen in the Kangana Ranaut movie Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. The movie based on the life of Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi is being directed by Krish and produced by Zee Studios.

Ankita spoke about the movie and of her experience working with none other than Kangana Ranaut.

She said, "Of course, I do regret it. I was stupid that I couldnt do the film. I genuinly wanted to do it but was not sure if I wanted to get back to work at that point of time. You need to be responsible towards your work. I do feel I missed out on a great opportunity. He is Sanjay Leela Bhansali after all. I hope he forgives me.

She also spoke about Kangana saying, "She is a nice human being - loving and caring. We bonded off the sets too. She is very professional and completely into her character all the time. I feel she is what she is. I could connect with her because I am the same too. Plus she works hard and is good to others on the sets."
