It is Anurag Kashyap, after Shoojit Sircar, who is all set to bring out an unexplored shade of love on screen, like never before. Anurag’s new film Manmarziyan stars Abhishek Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal in its lead roles. And, the first look at the stars from the film is out and have our complete attention.

Abhishek’s first look was shared on Twitter by none other than senior Bachchan a.k.a Amitabh Bachchan. Abhishek is seen donning a Sikh avatar, clad in a simple blue sweater over a pale blue shirt and a turban. He is seen through a glass façade and the look on his face gives all hints of complexities. Amitabh tweeted the picture and wrote, “Your Daadi, Teji Kaur Suri pre marriage .. your par Nana Khazan Singh Suri .. your par Naani Amar Kaur Sodhi .. & all related must feel great pride and love for you .. as do I,”

Now, that’s some history we had no clue of. Abhishek will be returning to the big screen after two long years. He was last seen in Sajid Khan’s Housefull 3.

Vicky Kaushal and Taapsee Pannu are seen in a fun carefree pose. Vicky gives a piggyback ride to his leading lady, Taapsee, as she smiles wide and bright! Vicky has undergone a 180-degree shift in his look. Last we remember him from Love Per Square Feet and Raman Raghav 2.0, and he looks nothing like that. His look for Manmarziyan is rather hippie and funky. Sporting a new hairstyle and wearing a Jim Morrison t-shirt, this is a new introduction of Vicky Kaushal altogether.

Taapsee seems to have taken a step back from her serious roles and has stepped into the shoes of young bubbly chic. Turns out, we’re equally happy with the shift. In the first look, she is seen in a blue kurta, her carefree curls swaying in the wind as she enjoys her piggy-back ride. In an interview with a leading agency, Taapsee said, “The film is a beautiful mix of the different worlds of filmmakers Aanand L Rai and Anurag Kashyap.”

The cast of the film has kept the buzz going with their constant updates on social media. Director Anurag and Vicky have previously worked together for Raman Raghav 2.0. But it is the first time we will be seeing these three powerhouse performers’ work together.

Manmazriyan is co-produced by Aanand L Rai and is slated to release on September 7, 2019.
