Amidst criticism Salman Khan vouches for Jacqueline's Ek Do Teen

When Jacqueline Fernandez tried to re-ignite the magic of the Ek Do Teen number, she was bombarded with a lot of criticism. A lot of comparisons with the legendary Madhuri Dixit were made, and it was said by Bollywood lovers that Jacqueline's effort did not quite match with that of the dancing diva.

However, there is one person who has publicly vouched for Jacqueline.

It is none other than Salman Khan. The Being Human star took to Facebook to voice his thoughts on the matter. He wrote, "Loved the song, Jackie has done full justice to the legendary moves of Saroj khan, difficult to match Madhuri. Nice to see Varun and Jackie (dance) to our songs. Makes us proud and keeps the songs alive. Fans are listening, dancing and having a blast. Makes me proud . Enjoy Karo!"

Now, isn't that something?

Baaghi 2 is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Ahmed Khan. The film features Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani in lead roles and is a sequel to the 2016 film Baaghi. The film is scheduled for release on 30 March.

Disha Patani also defended her co-star and the remix. She said, "The song is doing so well. C’mon, how many million views are there on the song! Look at the positive side. It does not matter (negative reviews). Views count. Views matter. It has got so many views in one day. And that’s not bad. It wasn’t my decision to touch the cult song. But people are comparing and it’s not fair. You cannot compare to Madhuri Dixit ma’am. She is an icon and the song is an iconic number. This is just a tribute. It is nothing close to her. And its a modern remix for the new generation people who were not born in that era. So just enjoy the new song.”
