It wasn’t long before a jubilant Shahid Kapoor shared the new trailer of his brother’s Majid Majidi film set in in India, with a heart-warming note… He wrote, “Acting toh khoon mein hai. Ise dekho. When did he grow up so much.”

…Precisely the reaction of most viewers who are watching and re-watching the trailer of this Ishaan Khatter-Malavika Mohanan film. It is stunning to see the energy and intensity that young Ishaan brings to his role. Not even the slightest glimpse of self-consciousness or ‘star’ posturing here; he emanates raw strength that is vulnerable and awesome to behold.
The film, produced by Zee Studios and Namah Pictures, shows Ishaan and Malavika playing siblings Amir and Tara. The film is said to showcase that familial bonds are “not bonded by blood but by love”.
While the first trailer had portrayed the close bonding between Amir and Tara, the new trailer further develops the story of the changing situations and altering equations. It depicts how human emotions come to the fore in a crisis.

Speaking about the film, the makers revealed that while human relationships, emotions and family form the base of every Majid Majidi film, the director had taken this belief further, showcasing family relationships not bonded by blood but by love. “This trailer will give audiences a glimpse of these beautiful emotions through two very talented new faces. Zee Studios is proud to be presenting two exceptionally gifted actors, Ishaan and Malavika, to the Hindi film industry, under the direction of Majid Majidi,” said Sujay Kutty, Business Head, Zee Studios in a statement.
‘Exceptionally gifted’ is no exaggeration. Watching Ishaan, it becomes entirely understandable why he has already bagged the Best Actor award for the film at the International Bosphorus Film Festival in Turkey. Very well-deserved!
