Injury can’t keep Alia away from work, she resumes shooting for Gully Boy

A sling can’t keep our super gal down! Alia Bhatt returned to the bay with her arm in a sling post the wrap of the first schedule of Ayan Mukerji’s action-adventure Brahmastra. The actress had suffered a rather serious injury in Bulgaria. X-ray reports had shown ligament tear and hematoma. She had been advised complete rest and no action sequences in the near future in order to allow her shoulder injury to heal completely. She will also reportedly also undergo physiotherapy in order to ensure a speedy recovery.

However, no action doesn’t mean no action… the spirited girl is back at work, shooting for Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy. She has started a 20-day schedule for the musical in Mumbai - her right shoulder in a sling isn’t holding her back.

Apparently, as her Ranveer Singh-starrer Gully Boy does not include action scenes per se, she took a call not to cancel her shooting dates. Team Gully Boy is reportedly on a tight schedule anyway and any delays would send the schedule for a serious toss.

So our lass will be back on set, wearing the sling constantly like her doctors have advised. It will only come off when she has to face the camera while shooting. Of course, the crew is going out of their way to make sure that all the necessary safety precautions are in place. They are ensuring that Alia doesn’t stress herself out while filming.

Gully Boy, which is based on the lives of rap stars Divine and Naezy, is being shot all over Mumbai. Last month the first look of this Alia Bhatt-Ranveer Singh film was out. Pegged to hit screens on February 14, 2019, the pictures showed a sombre looking lead pair. While Ranveer Singh looked drastically different from his Padmaavat character Alauddin Khilji, minus the unkempt beard, kohl-laden eyes and bulging muscles, Alia Bhatt also cut a very different picture, looking vulnerable in her de-glam avatar.
