IPL 2018: Ranveer Singh to be paid Rs 5 crore for a 15 minute performance?

With the skyrocketing success of Padmaavat, Ranveer Singh's market value is literally touching the skies. Endless brand endorsements, award functions and public appearances - the list is endless, and our Sultan Alauddin Khilji is on a roll, indeed!

His kitty is full of diverse projects, with interesting films like Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy, Rohit Shetty's Simmba and Kabir Khan's '83. But is that all. Doesn't seem so. If gossip mill is to be believed, Ranveer will be seen performing at the opening ceremony of the upcoming 11the edition of the Indian Premiere League (IPL). And reportedly, he will be paid a whopping sum of Rs 5 crore for a 15-minute long performance! The cricket extravaganza will begin from April 7, 2018.

Reportedly, Ranveer will be shaking a leg for about 15 minutes, and its the organising team who have decided to pay such a huge sum to the performer. As stated by an insider, "His appeal cuts across cities, age-groups and has an equally big fan following among men and women. That's why the organisers felt that he is the perfect fit for the performance at this year's IPL opening ceremony."

Going by Ranveer's track record, his stage performances are full of energy and he makes sure to entertain the audience. But a confirmation from the actor is still awaited as he is neck deep involved in Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy's shoot followed by Rohit Shetty's Simmba where the stunning Sara Ali Khan will be seen opposite the actor.

It's a known fact that Ranveer's enjoys a huge fan following and the organisers might have just hit the bull's eye with his performance at this year's T-20 opening ceremony.

In the past, celebs like Katrina Kaif, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and many more have added glitz and glamour to the year's most-awaited cricket festival! Interestingly, last year also Ranveer performed on IPL stage, but this time, he has emerged as the star performer.
