Anil Kapoor and Tom Cruise: Bromance Revisited in Abu Dhabi

If Salman Khan has his Hollywood bud in Sylvester Stallone, Anil Kapoor is practically on bromance terms with the gorgeous Tom Cruise! The two had worked together briefly in Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol. Anil had played a cameo in the film which had released in 2011.

Now when Kapoor was shooting for his upcoming Race 3 in Abu Dhabi, it was reunion time for both the stars. Tom Cruise happened to be in Abu Dhabi as well, shooting for Mission Impossible: Fallout. The unit wrapped the shooting scenes in Abu Dhabi after the movie's lengthy 161-day shoot that had got delayed for around four months when star Tom Cruise broke his ankle during filming.

Naturally, with both actors in the same city, Tom and Anil didn’t just meet up, they had a great time catching up. They spoke about their lives, their work, families, their fitness regimens, and even their food! Of course, fitness did tend to dominate as both these leading men are a tad fanatical about it.

A fly on the wall reports that Cruise actually told Kapoor that he was happy to see him looking fitter than ever. We can imagine how chuffed that must have left the health-obsessed Anil! The dudes also bonded over stunt talk. They discussed the stunts in the new Mission Impossible film, Fallout. Anil has been a huge admirer of Cruise’s work ethics, as the Hollywood actor insists on performing all his stunts himself, no matter how challenging they might be.

The praise was mutual, with Tom complimenting Anil’s new look for Race 3 and praising his infectious energy and enthusiasm, despite having four films coming up for release.
Anil has been a huge Cruise buff, after they worked together. Back then he had shared, “I observed every little thing about him. From his exceptional work ethic, his fitness regime, how he prepares for his role to how he puts together a team of professionals when he is producing a film, I have learnt so much from him.”

Clearly, that bit of hero worship is alive and kicking!
