What is it with Mahira Khan and the many abusive people who cannot bear the sight of her puffing on a cigarette!
The Pakistani actress has come under fire again on social media after a video which shows her smoking, has gone viral. The stunner is seen making an entry at a show with a cigarette in her hand. And this has again brought down all fire and brimstone upon her in the virtual world.
This is getting to be something of a pattern for the poor girl! Her controversy of September 2017 has still not been forgotten. She and Ranbir had been papped having a smoke together in New York. The Raees actress had been shamed mercilessly for her smoking and for her attire.

Her recent video clip has sparked the outrage again. While one user comments, “Mahira Khan should do a live video of her smoking cigarettes and then weed,” another opines, “Seems she is addicted.” It gets ruder still with one person commenting, “Ye mohtarma pakkay nashayy ki aadi hain!” There is apparently some well-meaning advice as well, as one user says, “BTW, Mahira, Smoking is Injurious to health. You should try some nicotine patches.”

However, the Pakistani beauty has her share of supporters too. One declared, “…Hypocrisy at its finest. Grow up and get a life. Mahira Khan does not care about your useless opinions.” Another jibed, “Forget #FreeKashmirRally, Pakistan is facing its biggest challenge one more time: Mahira Khan is SMOKING.”
The last time the Ranbir-Mahira pics had kicked up a furore, Ranbir had come out to defend the actress. He had released an official statement saying that he had known Mahira over the last few months and he admired and respected her for her achievements, and even more for the person she was. He asserted that the way she was being judged and spoken about was very unfair. According to Kapoor, the inequality in judgment just because she was a woman was sad. He requested everyone to stop the negativity and spread peace and love. Ranbir signed off by adding that both smoking and hate were injurious to health.
We aren’t anticipating a repeat of that show of support this time though!
