The Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani starrer Baaghi 2 is raking moolah at the box office, thanks to the record opening the film has received. At the moment, Disha is basking in the success of her recently released film but this hasn't come easily to the actress. Opening up about her struggles in an interaction with a daily, Disha confessed how the hard times taught her to be “super careful” with her career choices.
Not known to many but Disha left her studies mid-way to pursue her film career. Recalling her journey, the actress revealed, "I left my studies and I came to Mumbai. For a college girl to come to a new city not knowing anyone wasn’t easy. I was living alone, making my own money and never asked my family. I came to Mumbai with Rs. 500 and after a point, I didn’t have any money. I used to go for a lot of auditions, mostly for TV commercials, as there was this constant pressure on me that if I don’t get a job this month, how I will pay my rent. Everything I did was a job until I started to enjoy acting."
However, the struggle seemed never-ending at a point. "A film was supposed to start and they replaced me with someone else. That was my launch film. But everything happens for a reason. I learned early that rejections make you stronger. Each time you feel there’s something missing in you, you get that motivation to work harder," shared the actress who ventured into films with MS Dhoni: The Untold Story in 2016 and international project Kung Fu Yoga in 2017.
Disha's rumoured beau Tiger is receiving heaps of praises for his action-loaded act in Baaghi 2. Is the actress feeling sidelined due to the limelight shift? "Even I got a message from someone about this and told my manager to reply. Don’t know who wrote this. I’ve been promoting the film with him, so I don’t see a reason why I would complain1," shared the actress before signing off.
