Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor do not get relief in the AIB Knockout case

We all witnessed the 2015 AIB Knockout drama when Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor went allegedly overboard during a roast event. Well, the FIR that was then filed against them was on the grounds that they used obscene and abusive language during the show..

The event took place on December 20, 2014, where Singh and Kapoor, along with Karan Johar, Deepika Padukone and members of the AIB team performed at a charity event in Worli.

After a video of the event was uploaded to YouTube, it went viral. In February 2015, Sateesh Daundkar filed a complaint with the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of the Gurgaon court, saying that the show was “vulgar, obscene and pornographic”.

Well, the stars claimed in their plea that the FIRs against them had an ulterior motive and were filed with “mischievous” and intent to seek their quashing.

However, today, the Bombay High Court declined to grant any interim relief to both of them.

Mahesh Jethmalani, Senior counsel for the stars argued that the programme was full of humor and was for entertaining the audience. He requested the court to grant interim relief to Kapoor and Singh. The next hearing is on April 3rd, when we will know more about this.

Ranveer on the other hand, is suffering a shoulder injury. "Thank you for the good wishes everyone. I'm good. Its just a labral tear in my left shoulder. I intend to come back stronger. Love you all," Ranveer tweeted on Tuesday morning.

The Bajirao Mastani star had injured his shoulder during a football match. A statement on behalf of Ranveer's spokesperson said that the actor will continue to shoot for his upcoming film Gully Boy as per its "shooting schedule which is not physically strenuous since only performance-based talkie scenes are left to be shot."
