Sidharth is now a certified scuba diver and wants a dedicated adventure destination

After a break-up, what to do with all the free time on hand??? Well, Sidharth Malhotra has found a constructive way to keep himself occupied. The good-looking lad, who had reportedly split with Alia Bhatt last year, has embraced the thrill of adventure sports.

Already something of a sports buff, Sid is amping up his skills in the realm of scuba diving. As he had some free time between projects, he opted to put it to great use by taking up the underwater sport with a vengeance. He had been keen on acquiring certification in scuba diving since some time and decided to use the free time to tick this skill off his list.

Sidharth has now completed his training in the sport and is now certified for open water dives by PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors). And he can’t wait for his next opportunity to plumb the glorious blue depths again.

Truth be told, his interest in the underwater world goes back to the time he and his Ek Villain co-star Shraddha Kapoor were required to train for scuba diving for their film. Due to time constraints, Sidharth only took the elementary course for beginners. Back then he had planned to go on vacation to complete the advanced course and get certified. He had shared then, “I thoroughly enjoyed the process. This is the first time I went underwater and I loved it. I am not really scared of water either so I have no such fears. I am looking forward to my next dive. Post this, I will take a diving trip and get certified.”

He has done just that and now he wants to take his love for adventure sports a notch higher. He revealed that he is planning to tie up with a city or state to promote it as a haven for adventure buffs. “That’s on my radar. It would be great if India has a location or a holiday resort where you can do all these activities,” he shared. Sure, and with the likes of Sid indulging we can’t wait to sit by the beach and watch!
