Ranbir Kapoor is all heart, at least where his ‘Ghagra’ stunner, Madhuri Dixit is concerned. The actor, who is very particular about his onscreen appearances, has shot for a special appearance in her Marathi debut film, Bucket List. Apparently, as soon as he was approached for a cameo in this slice of life film, he gamely agreed and has already shot his portions.
The Kapoor lad has never made a secret of his huge admiration of Madhuri. They had shot together for the ‘Ghagra’ item song in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, and at that time he had raved, “She (Madhuri) was my first love and my heart broke when she got married. I was happy when I got the opportunity to dance with her and see her.”
He had also mischievously revealed that he had to bribe Ayan Mukerji in his own way to let him kiss the actress on her cheek! “She is sincere, passionate and talented. It was great working with her. She is wonderful,” he had gushed.
Now he hasn’t passed up the chance to appear with her onscreen again. Apparently, it is a small part and the makers are very happy with the way it has turned out. What’s more, Ranbir Kapoor’s name added to Bucket List is also a huge boost to the film’s value at the box office.
Bucket List sees Madhuri reunite with fellow Marathi, Renuka Shahane, who had played her sister in Hum Aapke Hain Koun...! Director Tejas has shared that the film is the story of a housewife weighed down by responsibilities. “It’s a fulltime job and ours is an uncommon story of a common character,” he had revealed.
The film revolves around the journey of self-realization of a woman (Madhuri), with a dash of humour. Speaking about it, Madhuri has said, “It is a story of every household yet it has a silver lining. It not only gives you hope and inspiration but also encourages you to live life in the true sense.”
