Even as Saif, Sonali Bendre, Tabu and Neelam, who were with Salman in the jeep that night of 1998, have been exonerated due to lack of evidence, there are strange rumours doing the rounds. Apparently, according to certain eyewitness reports, it was Salman’s Hum Saath Saath Hai heroines Tabu and Sonali Bendre who had allegedly urged him to pull the trigger, thus killing the blackbuck.

Yesterday, after being acquitted of charges in the case, Saif Ali Khan reportedly shook hands with Salman and wished him good luck before leaving the court. Varun Dhawan, who is a fond admirer of Salman, shared his support commenting, “I know for a fact that Salman bhai and his family have the utmost respect and faith in our judiciary system. @BeingSalmanKhan is one of the strongest and most genuine people I know and I'm sure he will come out of this stronger.”

Salman Khan's lawyer created waves when he stated that he had been receiving death threats, ordering him to drop the case. “I am getting death threats. The message said 'Salman Khan ka case ko chodh dijiye, warna goli maarenge,” said the lawyer. The warning was allegedly from the Ravi Pujari underworld gang.

Pakistan’s country's Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif raised eyebrows when he slammed the five-year jail term given to Salman Khan. Calling it ‘discriminatory’, Asif claimed, “Salman Khan has been sentenced because he's a minority.”

Dressed in casuals and sporting an over-sized hat that flopped over her face, Preity Zinta was papped at Jodhpur airport, ostensibly on her way to meet her friend and co-star of many films.

After a series of foul tweets in support of Salman emerged from Kapil Sharma’s Twitter handle, the comedian wrote that his account had been hacked. He apologised for the inconvenience caused.
