Hoping they will finally reveal the title of this Ranbir-starrer!

Rajkumar Hirani has been guarding his Sanjay Dutt biopic oh so protectively but finally we will have a glimpse of what this Ranbir-starrer has in store. The first teaser of the film is touted to release on April 24, and leading man Ranbir is clearly counting the days. “I am really keeping my fingers crossed for the Sanjay Dutt biopic, it was an altogether different experience shooting for the film,” says Ranbir, who essays Dutt in the film.

“I can't imagine and believe how much can a man go through hell in one life. He has paid for his deeds, made mistakes and got everything in this life. While filming there were times when I would observe him a lot, talk and walk like him but then I started to distance myself from him. After the image and look of Sanjay Dutt was released it was appreciated, but the role that I am portraying is not an act. I hope everyone likes it,” said Ranbir.

One of the finest actors of our time, it will be very interesting to see how Ranbir pulls off this role of a lifetime, under the direction of Hirani, who is known for his superior abilities.
There has been buzz that the trailer of the film will be released on May 8, the date that Sanjay Dutt's debut film Rocky had released in 1981. Naturally, the date is very important and memorable for him.

Buzz around the film has been huge – after all few lives have been as dramatic as that of Dutt’s. Last year, Ranbir had spoken about Dutt saying, “He hasn't been a hypocrite about it (his life). So it's not a propaganda film trying to portray him as God or something. We are trying to show a very human side of Sanjay Dutt, his perils, his downfall, his will to fight, his time in jail, terrorism charges, his drug phase, how he handled his mother's death two days before the release of his debut film, his relationship with his father. These were human conflicts in his life.”

The film releases June 29.
