Sometimes fact is more gripping than fiction and filmmaker Raj Kumar Gupta is all too well aware of this. He floored the box office recently with the Ajay Devgn-headlined Raid. This period crime thriller, inspired by the real-life Income Tax raids that were conducted by the officers of the Indian Revenue Service in the 1980s, worked wonders at the box office. Gupta’s next will also be inspired by true events - Most Wanted.
The film is reportedly based on a real-life secret mission that was undertaken in India during 2012-2014 to nab one of the country’s deadliest terrorists. For the lead role of the Intelligence office, Raj Kumar has apparently already roped in Arjun Kapoor. The hunky actor, who recently impressed as a police officer in Mubarakan, was apparently finalized a few weeks ago. He will be the hero of this film based on a crucial secret operation. The film is touted to be shot across Nepal and Delhi in a nonstop schedule post-July this year.

Buzz has it that Gupta and Kapoor have already had narrations and lengthy telephonic conversations about the project. While Arjun had been thoroughly impressed by the script, he is working out his dates as Raj Kumar requires a good chunk of dates to complete the thriller in one schedule from start-to-finish.
With four films in his kitty, namely Vipul Shah’s Namaste England and Dibakar Banerjee's Sandeep aur Pinky Farar, both opposite Parineeti Chopra, Ashutosh Gowariker’s Panipat with Sanjay Dutt and the Hindi remake of the Telugu Blockbuster Arjun Reddy, it is a rather cramped diary for Arjun. However, he is keen to be on board Most Wanted, which portrays the capture of a feared terrorist without the need for a single bullet being fired.
Other actors are currently being cast to play the officers of the Intelligence Bureau and the police force in the film. The makers are looking to release Most Wanted next year.
