Arjun Kapoor holds out olive branch to Salman Khan, but will Bhai accept?

Ever since Salman was convicted in the blackbuck case and sentenced to five years’ imprisonment, all the friends and well-wishers of the Khan family rushed in to support them in their time of crisis. When Salman was lodged in the Jodhpur Central Jail for two nights, his Bandra home saw a stream of starry visitors drop by to show their encouragement to the family.

One person who did not make the physical trip to Galaxy, Salman’s Bandra home, but was in constant touch with Khan’s sisters, was Arjun Kapoor. The hunky Arjun is clearly sending the olive branch across to Bhai and is hoping he is forgiven and his transgressions forgotten. Relations between Salman and Arjun have been strained ever since the latter was linked with Salman’s sister-in-law, Malaika Arora. Malaika’s divorce from Salman’s brother Arbaaz made matters worse and apparently, Arjun was persona non grata where Bhai was concerned.

Ironically, Salman had taken the young Arjun under his wing when he was taking his first steps towards films. Not only would Arjun spend all his time at Bhai’s house, his first serious relationship was with Salman’s younger sister, Arpita. However that romance bit the dust and what’s worse, Arjun’s alleged liaison with Malaika drove a serious wedge between him and the Khan family.

It had reached a point where, because of Salman’s clout, many filmmakers would avoid working with Arjun because they didn’t want to offend Bhai. Adding to the complex situation was the fact that Arjun’s father Boney Kapoor is a close friend of Salman’s. It’s a known fact that when Boney’s career as a producer was going through a financial crisis Salman had offered to work in No Entry free of cost.
