It’s in the genes: Amitabh Bachchan impressed by grandson Agastya’s short film

Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan were recently bowled over by a short film. What made it even more special was that the film in question was the creation of their grandson, Agastya Nanda! The short had been written and directed by young Agastya, who had also scored the background music for it. Multi-talented and how but not surprising at all, given his genetic inheritance!

While grandpa Amitabh is said to be very keen on his daughter Shweta’s son being their family’s third generation of actors in the Hindi film industry, Agastya could well have his own surprises up his sleeve. His short film left his grandparents amazed and the family now believes he has a natural flair for direction. The film will soon be available for viewing on YouTube.

Agastya, who is studying abroad, prefers keeping it low-key where social media is concerned.

Unlike his elder sister Navya Naveli, who has a huge following and is a fashion icon already, Agastya is not at all social media savvy. His Facebook account, for one, is hardly ever updated. However, last year he raised eyebrows when recent pictures of him were shared by Navya on her account – he was clearly growing into good-looking star material!

Agastya shares a special bond with his maternal uncle, Abhishek Bachchan. Abhishek loves to spend quality time with both Agastya and Navya. In fact on Agastya’s birthday last year, Abhishek took to Instagram to share a picture with an interesting greeting that read, “Happy Birthday Agastya! Do Mamu a favour, please... Go back to this size. You're becoming way too tall and are soon going to become the tallest in the family (a title I hold very dear). Have a great day young man. 17 yrs old! Wow, how time has flown. Love you.” In the picture, Abhishek was seen in a grey suit with a blue tie while baby Agastya donned a white and gold kurta.
