It’s wedding season with a vengeance for Sonam Kapoor. While she is touted to tie the knot with beau Anand Ahuja over May 11 and 12 in Mumbai, a fortnight later, her film Veere Di Wedding will hit the marquee. This female buddy film about four girls on their journey to find true love, has already stirred considerable interest. It marks Kareena Kapoor Khan’s return to films post motherhood, along with the girl gang comprising Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania.
We know that a special music video is being shot for the film today. Sonam herself informed via Instagram that she and her fellow-veeres will be matching moves under the baton of Farah Khan.

Fans can’t wait to get a peek of the trailer of the film, which is pegged to release on April 19. Apparently, the theatrical promo for VDW will be launched on April 19, with the actresses getting together to unveil the trailer with a press conference.
However, journos should be warned never to call the film a ‘chick flick’ or Sonam will give them an earful! The stylista, whose sister Rhea Kapoor has produced the film, had earlier taken offence to the term… “Don’t call it that! It’s so bad. There’s no such thing as chick flicks. Do you call a hero’s film a stud film? No, right? It’s so tacky.”
Kareena had also emphasized that Veere Di Wedding is not a typical Bollywood romantic film. “It's a different kind of movie. It's a story of four friends. It's not the typical boy-meets-girl romance which I think I've done so much of. So I thought this should be different. It's a small film, made by women. The producers are women - Rhea (Kapoor) and Ekta (Kapoor). I think it's a special film and people will appreciate it.”
While the first look of the film had arrived in October 2017, a new poster has released this January. All eyes now on the upcoming trailer release!
