We know that Irrfan Khan is undergoing treatment for his neuroendocrine tumour in the UK. However, rumour mills were abuzz that Khan's health is deteriorating and that his cancer is in the last stage.
Well, Irrfan released a statement today via his spokesperson confirming that this news is indeed false.
The statement read, "This latest round of news being spread through social media in the last few days about Irrfan’s health is absolutely false and there’s no truth to it whatsoever. We as his family and friends again request the members of the media to continue their support and the prayers that have come Irrfan's way. However it’s not right to spread rumours through mediums of social media without fact check or any official validation. In the meanwhile once again we request everyone to refrain from picking up social media statuses as affirmative developments on someone’s health."

Irrfan, who was expected to shoot Vishal Bharadwaj’s next with Deepika Padukone, had broken the news early in March saying, “Sometimes you wake up with a jolt with life-shaking you up. The last fifteen days, my life has been a suspense story. Little had I known that my search for rare stories would make me find a rare disease. I have never given up and have always fought for my choices and always will."
He had added, "My family and friends are with me and we are working it out the best way possible. In trying times, please don’t speculate as I will myself share with you my story within a week – ten days when the further investigations come with a conclusive diagnosis. Till then, wish the best for me.”
Well, we wish Khan all the very best with his health and treatment. On the work front, Khan was last seen in Blackmail, which fared decently at the box office.
