Anushka cheers for husband Virat during IPL match against Preity's team

The Indian Premier League season is in full swing and our very own newly married couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are making the most of it. The couple is in Bengaluru currently where the cricketer is busy captaining his side the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Anushka, the loving wife took some time off her hectic shooting schedule on Wednesday and flew to Bengaluru to support her husband Virat for his match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Anushka was seen cheering Virat and his team while they were playing against Preity Zinta’s team Kings XI Punjab. Preity and Anushka were both seen cheering their respective sides from the stands and sharing a healthy rivalry too. This is not the first time that Anushka had come to a cricket match to cheer her husband. She also received a lot of ire from supporters before their marriage whenever Virat got out cheaply or the team lost a game. However, thankfully all that is in the past now and the ardent cricket lovers of the country have accepted the couple post their marriage and showered their blessings on them.

The busy couple always manages to take time out for each other and wholeheartedly supports each other in their respective work commitments. Recently, when Anushka was in the capital city of Delhi for her forthcoming movie Sui Dhaaga – Made in India’s shoot, Virat happily joined her and were spotted in the city having a fun time together. The couple has been lovingly given the nickname of Virushka.

A source close to the couple told a leading daily, “Anushka and Virat have been working at a frenetic pace, and have been unable to spend much time together owing to their busy schedules. So, when Anushka found a two- day window, she promptly decided to make the most of it and joined Virat in the capital. It worked out perfectly for them — once she resumed shooting on Saturday, Virat began practicing for the Indian Premier League that is set to kick- off next month.”

Anushka and Virat took the country by surprise when they tied the knot in a fairytale styled wedding in Tuscany, Italy last year in December in the presence of close family and friends. They later followed it up with giving a grand reception in Delhi which was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other top leaders as well as a reception in Mumbai for the Bollywood fraternity.

Anushka has wrapped up her Delhi and Bhopal shooting schedule of her upcoming film Sui Dhaaga- Made in India with Varun Dhawan. She will also be seen in Sanjay Dutt’s biopic and in Zero opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Virat is busy with the Indian Premier League right now and would be hoping to have a better tournament than last year.
