Madhuri Dixit has jumped aboard a very interesting project helmed by Karan Johar - Kalank. The movie will see Madhuri opposite Sanjay Dutt after a good 20 years. Apparently, Mrs Nene has already started work for the film.
That's right. Madhuri recently tweeted that she has begun the look tests for the film. She wrote, "Just finished my shoot with @AnilKapoor and #indrakumar on the sets of #TotalDhamaal and was phenomenal as usual. Now arrived at the sets of #Kalank with @karanjohar for the look test. The sets are breathtaking. Can’t wait for you to see both films!!"
The movie also stars Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur.
Kalank, which is a period film set in the 1940, was conceptualized by Yash Johar and Karan Johar 15 years back. Karan mentioned that he is thrilled that the movie is finally being made and that it is his most ambitious project.
The film is directed by 2 states director Abhishek Varman. The movie is said to release on April 18 next year. All the young stars are excited for this one. Varun, who is receiving positive reviews for his role in recent release October, said he is excited "teaming up with the best". "Next year.. here we come... Good Friday 2019," he tweeted.
"Proud to announce my next 'Kalank' - an epic drama with an epic team directed by the very capable Abhishek Varman," tweeted Sonakshi. Alia said she is "so excited to be working with these phenomenal beautiful actors".
The film will be produced by Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala, Hiroo Yash Johar and Apoorva Mehta. It has been co-produced by Fox Star Studios.
